Steps

  1. 01

    Settings → Your Facebook Information → Download Your Information (or facebook.com/dyi).

  2. 02

    Date range: All time. Format: JSON. Media quality: low is fine.

  3. 03

    Select Security and Login and Location History. Skip photo dumps unless you need them.

  4. 04

    Create File. Wait for Facebook’s ready email or notification.

  5. 05

    Download the zip; keep it off shared Desktops.

Stay safer while you wait

  • Facebook may notify other logged-in sessions that an export was requested — be aware.
  • Use Quick exit if someone approaches the computer.

When the file is ready

  • Drop the zip into the Good Forensics check when safe.
  • Delete the export after you have your report.
